Our amphora-aged estate Cabernet Sauvignon, PEARL of the RAVENS, makes another vibrant appearance in 2019. This vintage blends 80% amphora-aged Cabernet with 20% barrel-aged, placing the pure virtues of crafting in terra-cotta in the forefront.
Luminous and sleek, the 2019 PEARL of the RAVENS, offers an unadulterated experience of Cabernet Sauvignon. With the oak influence dialed back to a whisper, the purity of the fruit is in the starring role.
As terracotta is more porous than oak, the respiration over 22 months makes for a wine that is already supple, although with fine tannins. Bright and fresh now, the PEARL will reward patience in the cellar.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from our single, estate vineyard. Yields are kept down and organically farmed to achieve the best expression of the fruit. The grapes are hand-harvested and naturally fermented with the vineyard's indigenous yeast. It is bottled unfiltered and unfined.
The bottle features our Raven logo wrapped around the surface with a platinum pearl in its beak.
AARON POTT'S TASTING NOTES:
NOSE: Toffee, chocolate, plum, cherry, taro, violet, nutmeg, cumin, fennel, mineral.
PALATE: Rich attack - plum, porcini, road meat. Massive mid-palate.
FINISH: Super tight-grain finish with great length. The tannins are super supple, leading to a beautiful finish of plum and cocoa.
